Hi everyone! I've got a question for you (and since I'm not a core member I can't do a proper poll, so we're doing it this way.)
I'm considering starting an online store - probably through Amazon - to sell stuff with a personal logo related to all my writing projects on it. Things like coffee cups, mouse pads, etc. As it gets closer to the publication of The Tiger's Keeper (Tiger, Tiger's new name), I'll be adding the cover art for the book, some quotes, and some other fun stuff to celebrate the upcoming publication. Basically I'm trying to get some money together to pay for all of the expenses I'm incurring getting to the publication point.
So, here are my questions -

So, before I get into my question, let's give you a brief update. Life was going fairly well until Thursday, April 19th. Just so you understand, we've lived with roommates for the last 8 years. We know how to get along with them. We've lived with our current batch for 3 years, and they've been friends/business partners of my husband's for 6 years.
Well, on 4/19/18, things went south very, very, VERY fast. One of our roommates - who I'll call T2 - is narcissistic, manipulative, and treats people like crap. T1 - our other roommate - is her boyfriend and is so controlled by her (which he says he likes) that there's no convincing him that she's

Well, it seems I've been fairly prolific, even if it's been a few weeks since I actually posted anything. (I rectified that a few minutes ago, but still...) I hope you've enjoyed what you've read. I'm going to continue posting little stories and bits and bobs here for as long as I'm able. You won't see Into the Flames finished for quite some time, and even when I do I'm probably going to start it over again because I'm not happy with how it's turning out, but that's probably going to be a 2019 project instead of a 2018 project.
What's my 2018 project you ask? Getting 2 books published - one in June and one in Decembe

So, I've decided to put my services as a writer up for sale. You can see my rough skill in everything on my gallery. Imagine what I can do if I polish the work!
Prices are:
500-1000 words - $10
1000-2500 words - $20
2500-5000 words - $30
5000 - 7500 words - $40
7500+ - prices will vary
If you're interested in a story, I'd be glad to take a turn at writing it. Be aware my primary skills are with fantasy and sci fi, though I have dipped my toes into all genres. I would prefer story requests that stick in the PG/PG-13 range for romance. In other words...I don't write sex scenes. I'll do heavy petting, and I might even have them start. But
Short stories update and other things
Okay, so the short story submissions aren't going well. I'm really focused on Tiger, Tiger and want to get it done. I'm dying to finish it so I can move on, yet I don't want it to end because I love these characters. But end it will. I can't say when, but it won't go on forever. But there are a few of those options I posted in my last journal entry that I'm still going to pursue.
When it's finished (and edited all to hell) Tiger, Tiger will be self-published in e-book format. I'm not sure if I'll also have print copies available, but I might. Since it's going to be a heavily revised/rewritten version of what's up here - the newer versions ar

Honestly, probably not. I'll buy merchandise from established works that I know that I like, but I would be unlikely to buy things from an unproven work. However, if you already have a following for the story prior to publication, or even if you have a social network following for you personally, there are usually always people willing to buy small things to support a project. You'll have to test the waters on your networks to see if the interest is there, I think.
Popular items for people promoting their projects seem to be things like stickers, bookmarks, prints, etc. with cover art/illustrations from the book. Perhaps magnets with favorite quotes from the story?
